Default Chamois For Drying: Good Or Bad

I would appreciate any opinions on the use of a genuine chamois to dry Lexus after washing. Does it create swirl marks? Is a chamois too course on clear-coat? Or is it the perfect drying device?
Your opinions and experience please. I have an Absolutely Red and black Cherry pearl cars to wash.
Thanks
Ron

If your shammy is kept clean, and you wet it before drying it shouldn't scratch your car. I have several real leather shammys, but I use an electric leaf blower for speed. Not to mention that you never have to touch the paint when drying the car.

I agree with specialist. It MUST be clean. It depends on how you use it. Dragging it across the paint can cause problems, if it is dirty. Use it to blot water, then follow up with a final swipe with a quality microfiber or 100% cotton towel.

I place of a natural chamois, many people are moving to waffle-weave microfiber towels. They suck up a ton of water and are machine washable...a big plus. Cleanliness is they key for anything that touches your paint.

Good luck
