Default Heads up....Costco, 36 nice microfiber towels for $17.64.

Shopping today at Costco...

As a December special they had Kirkland microfiber towels avail. 36 of them for under 18 bucks, and they are 16 x16 inch. Pretty nice quality as well, from the feel of them.

They were going fairly quickly ( saw lots of guys walking around with a bag in their cart ).

Anyhow, wanted to let you all know since this seemed like a solid deal to me.

I have them but I only use them for interior. I don't use them for paint. I keep my high quality towels for the paint. I've never tested them to see if they scratch but you can always do the CD test to see if it does. Great value towels though

I prefer better quality MFers on paint.

Same here. I use them only on the interior, or give them to my wife to use for furniture polishing duties.

I'm currently using these. They certainly do suck when it comes to drying and some fibers have came off. It's a hell of a deal though! I need some quality MF towels for the paint!!!

these towels are good for interior cleaning and wheels.. they suck when it came to removing polish. they ended up scratching my finish and i had to remove the new swirls and scratches they created!

These types of towels are NOT meant to be used for drying. That is not what they are made for - they are not absorbent enough.

Waffle Weave Microfiber Towels are made specifically for drying.

I figured that, it's pretty bad! I just hope it didn't damage my paint! I need to order some soon!

Never ever use polyester anything it will scratch, been there done that. Only 100% cotton, and half the time can we trust the label???????????

The Meguiar's Supreme Shine towels have always been a very good entry level paint towel for me. I used the Costco brand a while back and it did a decent job, but started to lint after a few washes and got demoted to interior/wheel/doorjamb duty. The Meg's SS towels are 24x16, won't lint for a long time and are safe on any paint. If you're dealing with some sensitive paint then something like the re-thickulous or great white towels are better and safer, but the Meg's SS towels are good for basic duty.

Not really, it depends. A lot of microfibers including high end ones are not 100% cotton and they work great.

did a little polishing over the weekend and thought id share this awesome purchase i made.. at less than $2/towel, they are phenomenal. they removed the polish and glaze with ease and did not introduce new swirls like the costco towels did. Btw i have a black car so its easy to distinguish which towels scratch the finish.
