Default wood cleaner

I have a '95 LS 400. Can anyone recommend a good cleaner for the wood on the center console and maybe something to help with the swirling>

If the wood is real shiny, it has a clear polyester enamel finish over the wood, and you could ostensibly use any product you use for the clearcoat on your car. I would use something very fine such as Meguiar's #9 Swirl Remover, or # 7 Show Car Glaze. The # 9 would probably be enough to remove the swirls. Rub in ONE direction, no circles, when you buff it. Do it multiple times with light to medium pressure with a foam bonnet or cotton terry towel, until you see some results.

You can put any wax on it afterwards.

Cheers.

Default Plege

Lemon Plege works on my '98 GS. Great way to clean and polish the wood. Someone on this board suggested it awhile back. I was reluctant...but it works. Also helps keep the smudges from reappearing.
