Mark on dashboard
#17
In summary, 303 masks it about 50% but certainly does not remove it. Please post if you have better luck.

Just to clarify..... 303, or any similar type of product, would never remove this type of defect. Hiding it is the only option, and since 303 does produce a darker look, it can help to hide this sort of thing.
I assume when you say it "does not remove it" you mean it does not hide it completely, only partially, but for someone who is trying to find out if they can actually remove/repair this type of mark, your post may be confusing.

I've got the same exact scratches, this time from a handbag (don't ask...) I've tried a bunch of interior cleaners and they hide the scratches but can't repair them. The soft touch plastics on the ES' dash and doors are ridiculously fragile, I've even got scratches from kids' fingernails.
You also shouldn't use a polish to repair scratches to the silver trim on the steering wheel. The scratch doesn't look as prominent but the silver paint actually comes off with a bit of rubbing. I wonder who let these soft materials pass QC when they can be so easily marred.
