Black leather questions/concerns.
I have a 2001 GS430 with 13k miles on it and I recently got to cleaning the inside which is black. But Im noticing that during cleaning and applying the meguairs leather sealer that the color of the seats were also transferring to the cloth and sponge, now it could be dirt but I highly doubt it. Im pretty concerned. Ive attached a pic of the microfiber and sponge I used.

Good call! I bought a new Vette back in 95 and kept the car for 10yrs. The Vette's of that era had the most cheap leather you could get in most any car. All I ever used was plain water on a rag to clean and used a conditioner to maintain it. The seats looked brand new when I sold it 10yrs. later. Do we really need to use chemicals to clean leather to maintain?

Use the least aggressive method that get the job done. If the seats are not that caked with dust/dirt, damp microfiber is all you need. I would like to see how it turns out if you use water. If it does the same, that means there is something wrong with the leather dye. If it doesn't, that may suggest the cleaner might be too strong for the leather.
I know APC diluted at 1:10 take the paint out of my leather seats on my IS350 2006 too but when I use water or Meg Interior Cleaner, it is ok so that tells me APC is too strong cleaner for my case.

Thats where im stumped it looks like color but it could be dirt, but after seeing it on the sponge which is after the cleaning step it made me lean towards color.

You'd be very surprised how dirty the leather can be...
The leather is coated, so if you're getting color you'd have failure of the leather you could see.
