Default wax\sealant or sealant/waz

First of all I really enjoy all the advice I have been given on this detail forum.

I have a question..I have surfing around and the main question I have is:

For normal maintenance does the wax go on first and then the sealant or does the sealant go on first and then the wax?

I have read it both ways on multiple forums so is there a rule or is just what sounds good that day?

There is a general rule...

You want your most durable form of protection to be your base layer. This means you want the sealant to be applied first, and then the wax.
