Will chlorine damage leather?
Long story short, I picked up my little brother after swimming practice. When we got home, he got off the seat and there was a leather curve, similar to what you see on a leather seat when you sit on it for an extended period of time, but worse. The leather was moist and wet, and when pressed down on the leather, I can feel wet inside in the seat. I told him to put a towel on the seat and sit on it, but he wouldn't listen; he was distracted playing on his phone.
My question is, how bad will chlorine damage the leather? If so, how do I repair or fix it? What should I do?

What model and year is it? They use urethane coatings on most of the newer models which makes a stiffer leather but it doesn't need all the conditioners and care other untreated leather needs. It's designed for hard wear and I doubt chlorine would damage it much if at all. Next time throw your brothers phone in the pool if he doesn't have the courtesy to sit on a towel.
