Did you notice any filling? We still have a few of the old bottles, pretty much unused at the shop. I can take a video of me applying it and a before/ after the next time we have some really bad jet black car in there (which shouldn't be long haha).

I noticed some filling, but its been awhile since I've seen the car completely clean, so I can't gauge it. If I have time next weekend, then I'll reapply and compare. My friend was more than happy with the results though. He likes it more than the bottle of Adams h2o guard and gloss I gave him before.

Honestly, rethinking my original response... I would try JUST reload first. Reload is capable of making some pretty drastic changes (albeit temporary changes) to the appearance of the vehicle both by filling in defects and darkening the appearance.
Since Essence contains abrasives, it is going to be removing some material. When applied by hand, I doubt it has much of a polishing effect, but when paired with a machine it works really well to remove (not fill) light defects.

If your ultimate goal is to temporarily cover up (fill) scratches, and NOT to remove them by use of abrasive (polish), then I would just start with Reload or a Spray Wax product like Meguiar's D156 to see what sort of results you get with the minimal effort involved.
