Angry Windshield Bullet/small dent

For some reason, the roads in oakland suck. I keep getting small dings all over my car. anyways, a rock hit my windshield and left a small dent. I was wondering if theres any quick fixes for the dent or would i have to get my whoel windshield replaced???

If insurance is not a problem, I would get the whole windshield replaced and pay the deductible, if any, for comprehensive, instead of bothering with the quick fix deal. My insurance carrier allows full glass replacement at no deductible

I agree, if you can get somebody to pay for it, replace the whole thing. There are guys that can do a reasonable repair on a lot of things, should be able to find them in the yellow pages. We have had some repairs done in the past (small size and not growing) and while you can see the repair afterwords, you really have to look for it. The only thing I remember about the process was that they said to do it as soon as possible after the damage. Otherwise, junk builds up in the cracks and they have much less satisfactory results. I think the guy that did my wife's car last actually came to work and did it in the parking lot so it was fairly convenient.
