Default CarPro DLUX, should I use it on my headlights?

I polished the headlights on my IS tree-fiddy a couple of years back, they looked great for a while, but it sure seems like they oxidized really quickly and now look just as bad or worse than they did before I polished them. I've got a bit of CarPro DLUX leftover from coating a set of wheels, is there any reason I shouldn't re-polish the lights and coat with DLUX? I remember there are a couple of specific headlight coatings on the market, I just don't want to spend ~$50 on something new to coat a grand total of 20 square inches, when I'm guessing the DLUX will work just as well.

Yes, you can use DLUX on headlights.

That's not gonna help. They will still yellow and fade. You need to either have them professionally clearcoated or have PPF installed on the lights.

A long-term review showed that Opti-Lens worked better than a regular paint coating, presumably due to the increased amount of UV inhibitors. Whether it performed better than spraying them with clearcoat is unknown to me.

Spraying a good clear clay paint would be far superior to any hand applied nano coating on headlights.

It has to be a 2K clearcoat like Sparymax to last a long time. Opti Lens did not last very long for me.

Opti lens is nowhere near as good as real clear coat, not even close. It was never designed to take place of clearcoat.

Opti Lens is a good product to put over new headlights or lights that still have a healthy layer of clearcoat that hasn't started to show signs of failing.
