Rear Door Wood Inserts
I have used the search function and have not found what I'm looking for. I also have exhausted the junk yard route.
I know that I should never have let a dog in my car, they only ever go in my truck, but I was stupid and let one in. As a result, both rear door wood inserts were scratched. I called the dealer and they quoted $306.00 for each insert. Obviously I don't want my stupidity to cost me 600 bucks. It appears that only the poly clear coat is scratched and not the actual wood.
Can anyone give me some advice on how to fix this problem? I thought about getting some polyeurethane and using a very fine hobby brush to slowly fill in the scratches. Any thoughts on whether or not that would work? I will continue searching ebay, but I don't hold out much luck for that. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
