Hi guys,
Just got my new Infrared RC 350 F Sport 2 days ago. Drove it back and my overly enthusiastic dad put the wrong type of wax on it.
It was a Turtle Wax with sun protectant for plastic, vinyl, and rubber. I noticed the next day and freaked out...so i tried to get it out with the right type of exterior wax...
I'm having a bit of a nervous breakdown that it's going to destroy the paint...what should i do?
Thanks,
Angela

I'm not a detail expert bit my recommendation would be to clay the car and also use a good paint cleanser. refer to this link.....https://www.autogeek.net/prewaxpolishes.html.
Then apply the correct high-quality wax. Good luck!

You're likely fine... next steps - clean and start over.
I would proceed with a proper new car detail which will begin with a thorough car wash utilizing a stronger concentration of the car shampoo of your choice. Follow that with proper paint decontamination using a clay bar. Then a nice light polish will remove any residual waxes/products that may remain on the surface. Next, apply the protection of your choice.
If you're not familiar with these processes, check out the Detailed Image Detailing Guide.
