Default Anyone use BG headlight restoration kit?

Long story short some one vandalized my car last June and scratched my head lights up pretty bad I do not have an extra $3000 to buy new ones. My friend who owns a shop told me about this kit I am wondering if anyone has had any experience with it. Below is the kit and below that is two pictures of the worst of the scratches.

tons of videos on YouTube....

personally I don't like this method - it seems like the lenses never get polished clear, you just spray this stuff on after removing the opaque stuff.

I know about the videos on youtube I want to know if anyone has firsthand knowledge with this kit. The aerosol can is an actual gel coat I know that I also know that dealerships use this and its not available to the public for sale. You have to be a dealer to get it.

Use 600 grit sandpaper, 1,500 grit sandpaper, 2,000 grit sandpaper, 3,000 grit sandpaper, spray mist water as you sand, then use Meguiar's Ultimate Compound with microfiber towel, and buff away. Then add wax and buff off. Highly recommend using rotary polisher. Best way to get your headlights clear as new.

wouldn't the video uploader(s) have first-hand knowledge?? (unless they're all from BG).

That company is very big in the euro community and has a very bad reputation, they do very grimy unprofesional stuff. They also have a F with the BBB so I have 0 interest in anything they have to say

Also messaged the guy and he sounded way to much likr a salesman like if I asked him if the headlight kit would give me 30hp he would have said yes just to sell me some lol

Save your money on that expensive kit and get a few grades of sandpaper to 800 grit and a can of Spraymax 2K clear(you will need to use a respirator when spraying it and cover the rest of the car) if you want it to be mostly permanent. If you want a temporary fix you can get several grades of sandpaper to 2500 or 3000 grit and then polish them and put some wax on them but in most cases they won't last very long until they get yellow/hazzy again and you will have to keep polishing/waxing and eventually sanding, polishing, and waxing.

Just get the XPEL PPF headlight kit. Best thing you can do for your headlights. The first thing I did when I got my LS was to sand and buff the lights (they weren't horrible but had sun damage being from SoCal and than I bulk cut some Suntek PPF and they look brand new and protected from future chips.

Couple sheets of 1,500 grit and 2,000 grit sand paper, some polishing compound, and a can of clear coat... All you really need. Just be sure to wet sand the clear coat after. Done this on several cars. If you just sand and wax, the results look nice for only a couple months, then it all goes back to the yellow crud.

That 1 part clearcoat in that video is not going to last long under most circumstances, it has limited chemical protection and little ultra violet resistance though since those BMW light design don't get as much sunlight as many others it will likely last a little longer. A two part clear like Spray max 2K clear would be a much better choice for long term durability, it is only about $10 or so more.

Yep, that's the one I used on my friend's Accord a couple years back. Still looks as good as new, but then again, we don't get much sun here in the Pacific Northwest. Awesome overall product though.
