I need help removing excess paint after using touch-up paint
Does anyone know what product I need to remove excess paint that's left after filling in some chips. I just want to even it with the rest of the hood. I kinda need to do it tomorrow so I would need something I can but at PepBoys. Thanks

If you're willing to take the risk, go with wet/dry sandpaper (preferably 2000 grit). Get a sanding block (if you can), some 3M Swirl Mark Remover and rubbing compound. Wash and clean the affected areas very well before using the sandpaper. Be warned that there is a possibility of fine-scratching the surface, so make sure to follow up with some SMR and rubbing compound. Repeat cycle until excess paint is removed, and surface levels out.
Just like with any other detailing job, take your time with this, and good luck

Hi sniper5
The product of choice to remove excess factory touch-up paint is a product called Langka. You can get it here, http://www.langka.com/index2.htm
I have had good success with it.

Thanks for the tips guys!
I tried wet/dry sandpaper and it didn't really remove the blobs. I didn't want to press too hard because I'm not sure if a bottle of rubbing compund is going to effeciently remove the scratches from sandpaper.
PakShak, Langka should be nothing more than automotive paint thinner. I'll get a bottle of thinner and try it since it worked well for you.
