Default Body paint

Hi all!! I’ve had my GS350 2015 for almost a year now. I’ve buffed it and paint corrected already. When I bought the car I didn’t notice any major scratches on it but the minor chicken looking ones. But now I feel like I see them more and more each day. I’d like to get rid of them...am I the only one with this problem? How can I fix it? I feel the paint is extremely weak. Was thinking of painting my car in sections little by little starting with the bumper because it’s gotten dinged up a few times from the semi trucks picking up rocks. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or recommendations thanks !

Well painting in sections isn't the best choice only because each time they are blending it match a different paint match, your better off either painting the whole car at the same time or trying to get it paint corrected from a good detail shop.

Get it professionally paint corrected and ceramic coat the entire car to add an extra layer of protection. There is only so much you can correct before burning through the paint.

Pretty much where I'm at with mine, this paint is extremely soft and the last option I'd have to completely remove the marks that are still there would be to wet sand and I'm not about to do that on factory paint, especially this soft. Some panels are quite thin...just gotta live with the 95% or so paint correction and move on.....

Do you think painting my bumper at least is a good idea? One day I was on the freeway and there must have been an accident because pieces of glass hit my bumper and messed it up..
also, I was thinking of painting with different BETTER quality paint..than maybe putting a ceramic coat? Thank you all !

Don't get a cheap paint job, otherwise the bumper will be noticeably different color than the fenders, Lexus uses a three stage paint job so it's more expensive done properly. Or just use touch up the damaged parts of the bumper, buff, polish the entire bumper, should look better.

I have my entire front end including full hood wrapped in Xpel Ultimate PPF. The car needs it since the paint is so soft.

You could warp the car in clear bra but that could get expensive.

Exclamation

Installer & assistant in Los Angeles came to my place at 10am for extensive PPF on an IS350 and didn't leave until 10pm

DM me for Contact Info for Mark @ Starr Autoworks. They service the entire southern California at your place of residence or work.

DO NOT ATTEMPT DIY PPF unless you have lotsa experience - even SMALL PIECES often result in a huge train wreck, inconvenience, waste of materials, time, & moola $$$, etc.
