Hello!

I received and advert from Lexus depicting paint protection. I wanted to ask if anyone had heard or used this and if it was worth it? It seems significantly cheaper than a good ceramic coating. It is called Auto Butler, and I am seeing $129.95 for the service.

For that price at best it won't harm your car.

I had this service included with the purchase of a 2011 Mazda3 (great little car BTW). As Lexus 2000 mentions, it didn't hurt the car and it looked nice afterward. I can't speak to how long it lasts as I enjoy doing my own detailing and always kept the car in good condition. Is it worth $130? up to you to decide - You probably can get it negotiated for less. How many treatment does this include?

If you spend $100 or less on quality materials and give yourself a day of detailing, you'll get much better, longer-lasting results. I'd suggest taking a day to get a good paint correction in, then use something like CarPro Hydro2 every 6 months or so. Basically spray it on your wet car after a wash, then rinse off (recommended to use a lower PSI pressure washer). The stuff holds up great down here in the Houston sun rainstorms.
