Unhappy Swirl Marks

I have a new Black RX330. I waxed it and now you can see how the wax was applied in certain light. Is this what everyone means by swirl marks? I was using what I thought was a high quality liquid wax. Do I need to use a clay bar and rewax with a high quality wax? Do I need an electric polisher or can this be done by hand? Thanks!

I use 3M Perfect-It Swirl Mark Remover to remove the swirls then follow with 3M Imperial Hand Glaze, then wax with a very good was like Blitz. Works great on my Black 92 SC300. You can skip the Hand Glaze but it will not have the very deep rich black appearance.

Use very good mirco-towels with all the products, especially with the habd glaze. Hope this helps.

I had heard not to wax in a circular motion because of this. Can anyone verify that?

I hand-applied Meguiar's Swirl Remover 2.0 (aka Mirror Glaza 9) with a microfiber detailer towel from Peak. Very pleased with the results. 2006 IS350-Matador Mica Red (not black).

Please dont bump threads from 7 years ago. Likely the person who asked the question found a solution or the thread would have continued on.

welcome to CL.
