Scratched leather :(
Hello! Brand new Lexus owner here!
I just got the 2020 Is300 FSport AWD yesterday.
I covered the back seats to protect the seats from my dog, but he leaned on the door and scratched the leathers. See pic attached.
any suggestion on what I should do? I’m not a handyman so I’m worried about making it worse if I try to fix it myself. Do I try to find a place that repairs leather?

Pretty sure that is not leather. Could try a vinyl protectant to help hide the scratches but don't expect miracles.

Correct, that is not leather. As Lexus 2000 stated, I would try a vinyl protectant such as Aerospace 303. I've read about tricks with sanding and heat guns but that could destroy the panel as well. Of course, you can always replace the panel if it's not cost prohibitive.
Whatever you do, I would get 2 door protectors. I use these from Weathertech when I transport my dog.... https://www.weathertech.com/door-pro...CABEgKkp_D_BwE

I don't think there is anything you can really do aside from replacing the panel, once its scratched that is it, maybe put it outside in the heat and see if the interior heating up and cooling down will help minimize those scratches.
Don't let the dog ride in the car again or trim/file its nails.

Thanks all. I visited my mechanic to get his opinion after seeing it in person and he basically said the same thing- it cannot be fixed unless you just replace the whole thing. So I’m just going to have to suck it up
