Default New 2021 RX350 - What should I do?

Greetings,
just purchased a Cavier Black RX 350. Never really had a nice car like this before. I tend to have cars a long time (15-20 years). I'd like to keep it looking good for a long time but I'm not someone who has to wash it everyweek or keep it shiny all the time. I'm a bit confused on what I should do. I've researched PPF and ceramic coating. It sounds like it runs in the 2-3k range by the time you are done. Or should I just get a good wax on the car (What I've done the last time I purchased a car in 2005) and call it done. Any advice?

* If I get ceramic coatings. Do I need to wax? Perhaps it's worth it to avoid waxing the car 2x per year

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Mark

Since you keep your cars for so long go full hog and get paint correction and PPF. A brand new vehicle still needs paint correction. Ceramic coating is a "wax" in the colloquial sense it's a sacrificial layer on top of paint, yes a ceramic coating can be (should be IMO) applied to PPF.

All my new cars, I usually do PPF on the complete front end and then ceramic coat everything. The coating still require maintenance washes. I would say a wash every 2-3 weeks is the longest I would let it go.

I've read somewhere that it isn't recommended to put wax over a ceramic coating.

this makes the most sense for look, protection and budget

do the front hood and bumper with film, xpel. ceramic coat car and new ppf with car pro uk 3.0 and skin for the film

Usually each ceramic coating has it's own "topper" spray that you can use to refresh the coating.

I usually do full fenders, full hood, bumper, headlights, fogs, side mirrors, door cups (to prevent nail scratches when opening the door), and the door sills (the part most people kick when getting in and out of the car).
