Default Lexol Issue

So I’m trying to keep up my 2002 rx 300. But I think I’m making it worse! I bought Lexol leather cleaner. I put it on my seat and on some parts it’s black!
my seats are tan. Now, yes there are some cracks. But it looks worse now!!!! And I put some on the leather ( sides of the shifter?) and it looks like it took some of the leather off. I could just cry. HELP

Sue

Did you use the conditioner also?

I don’t think so. I think it’s just the cleaner.

Sorry about your problem. Does your car stay out in the sun most of the time? That could be part of the problem. Ours has been in the garage for most of its life.

Probably just darkened the cracks/creases. Chuck that product or give it to someone you don't like and get Leatherique. Follow the instructions carefully, your seats will look as good as they are going to get short of restoration.

On the shifter looks like some of the coating was removed nothing you can do about that.

I plan on getting a new passenger and driver one day, but wanted to clean them. What do you suggest for the dashboard on top? Just a damp cloth?

Plus, have any of you ever replace the seats? How did ur turn out? I feel like my car is looking like a big piece of trash. Maybe I’m just over reacting. Yes it’s a Lexus but it looks not so good inside.

That's the problem, after cleaning, it's dry and you need to apply conditioner to re-moisturize it...
