Default Safe way to clean engine bay inverter

So what’s a safe way to clean the inverter?

Looks like some surface rust.

I want it looking like new and shiny.

First photo mine. Second photo brand new.

I recently detailed a Highlander Hybrid engine bay. No pressure wash but plenty of water, I covered the brake fluid reservoir nothing else. If you can drive in the rain you can wash your engine.
