Girlfriend got me a b-day present :) (pressure washer)

I use pressure washers but never closer than 6-8 inches and normally keep the nozzle about a foot or more away. If my hand can't stand the spray neither can the paint.
I try never to go into those automatic power washers unless in the middle of winter! Their nozzles a a foot or more away as I recall.

Just a lesson learned I thought I'd share so others don't find out the hard way (benefit from my stupidity ). Don't get pressure washers too close to the paint.

EV ftw!!!
I have a KArcher power washer that puts out 900 psi and i use it to wash my car and I keep the nozzle about 3 feet away from the car. Never had a problem with peeling or damaged paint on any of my cars in the last 5 years.

I've got a Karcher pressure washer that I use for my boat and my car and I've never had a problem. I also don't put the nozzle anywhere closer than 1-2 feet either. I agree with a post above about the proper use of one. If you use it really close to the paint, sure, you may cause damage. If you plan to use one, just be smart and you'll be fine.
