The SC300 posted here looks really awesome, but I'm trying to understand why everybody is bowing down to it. I'm about to buy my SC300, so please excuse the ignorance of this statement, but it looks like you could duplicate that look fairly easily, am I wrong? You could take a clean black SC with 97 bumper and taillights, throw on nice 19's with a good offset, customize the exhaust, tint it --- wouldn't you have the same appearance? So far I haven't heard anything about any fancy ECE retrofit. Yes I'm sure the engine is awesome, but really that's not what it seems like people are drooling over. I feel like I'm really missing something.

I wouldn't say bowing down to it, but I respect it a lot. I'll put it this way: it's an already rare model, it came from Clint's stable, and now it's in SW's stable. We know little about what's under the hood right now, but coming from these two guys: enough said.

ECE retrofit? That's nice, but anyone with $500 and some know-how can turn that out in one afternoon. No biggie there... This car you could duplicate it fairly easy if you had $40,000 cash laying around for mods. Either way, positive reinforcement for classy rides like this helps steer the impressionable members away from tasteless ricer mods.

Talking about doing something and actually doing it is 2 different things. Seems people can alway duplicate after one has already been done. Of course, this not the first turbo Lexus out there, however i would put money down that is possibly the nicest. If you look at any of his cars, all are modded with a great deal of taste. Something that alot of car owners seem to lack. I wish SW had pics of the underside, just as clean as the top side. This won't be the last post on this car. It is not just a good looking car.

Okay I agree, good taste really has no price. I was shopping around though, there's a clean black '99 at Longo Lexus in Socal for $23k, seems like it would be a good platform to make an equally eye-catching SC.
