OK guys...For those of you that have been rooting me on during this project, I want to give you an update, especially since i have been fairly quiet for sometime. As I have mentioned, I have not had the best of luck with finding a welder\fabricator to assist me with my project. I finally found one that looked real good, and contracted with him to get the job done. I delivered my car to him on May 20, 2005. He commited in writing to 4 to 6 weeks. It was one nightmare after the other, and multiple excuses, one after another. I finally had enough, and towed my partially disassembled car out of his shop on Friday evening, September 9th. He owes me some serious cash, and I would never recommend anybody to ever have him do anyhing on their car by him. My experience with him is that he lies and is a thief. He is a good welder, but I think he needed the money, gave me the sob story, took my money, and never really had any intention to get my car done. His actions certainly spoke louder than his words... Enough about him.
For the good news...I am back on track. I have found a race shop with over 30 years experience building race cars, and racing them. They are honest, well experienced, pay meticulous attention to detail, do not require any money up front, and only expect to get paid upon completion of the work and a satisfied customer. They are also reasonably priced, and actually are very accurate with their estimated time frames to completion of any job that they take on.
I also worked out a very special arrangement on the building of my custom headers, and as soon as they are completed, I will post up the pics, as well as all the details on who is building them, and why...
For now, I am not going to project too much into the future, but if all goes as planned, My Turbo project should be done with Phase 1, up and running, and tuned within the next 30-45 days... Let's keep our fingeers crossed, and see what happens...
BTW, wait till you find out what Stage II is all about... It'll really get ya going...For now, I am focused on Stage I. The mention of Stage II was just a teaser...
I just wanted you guys to know that even though it has been a long time since I started this project, and that I haven't said much recently, that did not mean that I had given up...I am more determined than ever...And I am excited about completing this project soon...Well, at least the first iteration of it...After all...My Liscense plate speaks loads about me and my character...DTRMND...
