nope, the car was taken to about 3lbs, and when the A/F blipped at about 16:1 the throttle was released. about an hour later, while driving in winterpark traffic, the one flex-a-lite fan took a crap and the car overheated, which knocked a radiator hose off.

thats what happened.

you coming out tonight eric?

Scott is correct about the boost...only 3 lbs...I also did not see 16:1, I saw 15:1, but maybe Scott it differently...it is possible the headgasket was blown...will check it out to be sure. But the fan crapped out, and that is why it overheated...the fuse for the fan was only a 20 amp fuse...needed to be a 30 amp. That may be why the fuse blew and the fan crapped out...We will straighten it out, along with the A/F within the next few days...

Yeah, those Flexlights need a 30 amp fuse. 20 amps will blow a might quick. If a clamped radiator hose came off, I'd definitely take a look at the headgaskets. The pressure to blow them off had to come from somewhere. Are you using the stock graphite gaskets, or MLS gaskets?

Heads look good no issues there , but the fuse was a 20amp not 30amp and that was a problem . The fans are also not cooling off the car as they should so Ryan just picked up another set which we'll have on sometime tomorrow . His engine is 100% stock but he does have another long block which he's building up .

I am sad that I missed LexFest... I got my car at 11:30 tonight... It is running well now, no issues with the AFR, except that I can only tune so much without the piggyback. So, I will boost lightly...But wow, even at very low boost, it is definitely much quicker... The built engine goes in during October..., so does the paint, BBK's, etc....

I received the front brakes in the mail...very nice. I will attach some pics. I also received the emblems, stunning....Billet fuel door is in also. It is coming together....

We're making a bit of headway in my personal project also. The manifolds are nearly complete.

The piping looks a bit small for that collector. Or is it just me/the picture? Otherwise, again, looking good as always.

The runners are 1.75" I'd hardly say that they are small

That is an interesting design eric...Actually Frank's original design was quite similar to that, but he abandoned it for several reasons... Then he went to a 4 into 1 design, which us flowing very well. Maybe you guys can make that design work?

Good luck....

Ryan
