Cody,
The color is really great and you seem to have done an excellent job. The paint seems to have double crossed you a little but I know you will recover. Can you tell me how many hours of labor it will take to color sand a SC? You said you used 3 quarts,I think. How many quarts woud you use if you PLANNED to color sand?
Thanks guy
John

I planned on color sanding the entire time - there is almost no way to get a perfect paint job with modern clears (has to do with the low VOC in current paints)

I just haven't had a chance to wet sand mine yet, so no completed pics... It's been wayyyy too hectic at work, and my priorities have shifted a little bit as well... one of these days soon though...

thats not true at all. fisheye has an excuse to use... contaminants... mainly grease/ oil. orange peal is mainly caused by holding the gun to far away from the car, quit getting so excited, turn the gun down, hold it closer to the car, and spray thin coats. i'll be painting a SC300 202 black onyx this week, i'll get u guys pics straigh out of the gun in primer, base, and 3 coats of clear.
i would blame some of your paint quality on the actuall paint your using. i'll be spraying the SC in valspar. still not to expencive. all material including filter, mixing cups, primer, hardener, reducer, paint, etc all for roughly 350
