well, I hate to keep you guys waiting, but I just got back from a quick drive... put 32 miles on her on a cruise down to the Las Vegas strip and back...

At any rate, I did a half *** job of washing her, so, no pics yet, but they are coming... oh, and she's only 98% put back together - still missing the lower plastic under the front end (not the air dam, but the under engine cover stuff)

Anyways, this color just amazes me... it seems almost purple at night... during the day, well, we'll see...

it's the clear... the actual base coat laid down perfectly smooth and flat...

supposedly it's because of the low VOC levels in newer formulas... I was even watching a Rides the other day and they were talking about putting on extra clear to be able to color sand (like I have to do) because of the way new paints are...

It definitely is a weird color... when there is more direct sun on it, it's much brighter... it also came out a little weird in the pics too... very hard to describe...

I was working on de-lining the high beams when it came time to reinstall... to me it was more important to get the car back on the road, so I rushed it... soon enough they will all be clean and de lined...

Great job on the paint. I'm sure it'll look better after it's been buffed and polished!

me neither... I will probably wait until the next week - I go out of town for a few days - maybe get it color sanded then (I am going to pay someone to do this, sanding is a huge pain in the ***...)
