I am sure that you have seen this... If not it might help.

I would suggest seeing about having a seal kit send over and rebuilding them here, Shipping there and back would be outragious. In the past a way that we use to test and see if it was the seals was to put some oil inside the cylinder and see if it seals it up. Its not a fix, but it will usually help get you home in a stranded situation.
I havn't had any personal experience with the Canovers, however in most cylinders they have whats called a "Lip Seal" Where the air pressure pushes the seal against the wall to seal the cylinder up. If you would like to try and source the parts locally i would suggest pulling out the seals and check with a parker or a SMC distributor and see if they have anything like that. They should be a standard industrial type seal that they are building into the cylinders.

yea, ive seen it. ive sent numerous emails to canover, but no reply yet. ive talked to kiyoshis, which used to rebuild them in california, but they no longer do it. ive talked to others who said they could get the seal kit and rebuild them, but they wont answer my calls. im SOL because i know i cant sell these, i cant get them rebuilt. i even took them to a local hydraulic shop that rebuilds cylinders all the time, but they couldnt even take them apart. im pretty much stuck.
the ****ty part is, i know my car would be done and in a paint booth had i never bought these.
