hoebagged - the complete build
well ill just get down to it.. its finally time for me to bag my car! im suppossed to put it in this saturday, but its been put off for a couple weeks for various reasons. its either this weekend or next. either way ill keep this thread updated with whatever progress i make.
parts:
canover active air suspension cylinders
easystreet digital controller w/ ecu, electric valves w/ pressure sensors, etc
1/4" airline
2 viair 380c compressors
4gal pancake tank
i got the kit with only 1 compressor, but since i only want to do this once, i figured i might as well do it right the first time. which meant waiting on: another compressor, some extra fittings, dynamat, a new battery, etc.
so while i was waiting for the compressor to be shipped to me, i went ahead and splurged on some extreme dynamat. the only real pain is crouching down for so long while working in that small space.
as you can see, i also took out the unnecessary amp and cd changer. this will probably be the location for the compressors.
the trunk is 75% done and the back seat/deck lid are 90% done with only 1 36sqft bulk pack.
i bought another bulk pack today, but got half way through cutting the box open when the blade slipped and nearly cut my left middle finger off. i wont post pics of all the blood on my hands and clothes, but i thought this would be enough.
hopefully my injury wont delay this already delayed project.
anyway, i got my battery in a few days ago. i got a great deal on amazon! if anyone needs/wants one of these, definitely buy it on amazon. its $40 cheaper than local shops, no tax, and only $5 shipping. but i digress..
my positive terminal was so corroded that it snapped in half, so i opted to buy the tsunami terminals from a local electronics supply store. im having trouble getting the digital guage to work. im not a rocket scientist, but im sure i only needed to connect the ground, but it doesnt work.. i hope they take it back! lol
i think the tie down would look so much nicer if chromed, dont you?
so ya.. this is it for now. the back seat and trunk should be done by friday night. im waiting on 4 elbow fittings and some extra air line to arrive. if it comes by saturday then im ready to rock n roll. if not, ill have to wait until next weekend if that happens then ill be running the wires and mounting some hardware this weekend instead.
ill also have my video camera running while some friends and i work on it.. ill make some sort of instructional documentary with some sexy pr0n music if anyone else needs a little guidance undertaking such a project.
id also like to add that im willing to accept paypal donations for bandages and neosporin
oh, and special thanks to calvin (xoticsc)
