awesome progress dood. i just wonder why NOT stick shift though. you cant be thaaat lazy haha. Even i drive stick now. We'll need to borrow francis lewis blvd. when we are both ready to determine the differences of a NA-t Auto versus a 1J'd 5 speed.
Just looking around, theres so many former Camry guys goin SC. you, me, redphoenix, and even milt now. we need to spread the word on TN, and infect more camry drivers! haha.

Eh I thought about going stick but its gonna be more down time if anything. Ill see what happens in the summer time. Right now I'm just trying to get the turbo done. We can borrow GCP =P
well guys we weren't able to get the turbo running today We did get A LOT of work done before it started to get really cold and dark. We hit a few snags today but we were able to solve all the issues. After running out of grinder wheels and sawzall blades we decided to call it quits.
Issues we had mainly involved trying to get the turbo/manifold into the bay... what a struggle that was. The rest of the day was devoted setting up intercooler piping.
We also got alvins BOV to work properly on his car. It sounds freaking awesome now!!!
What we did today:
- Mounted the turbo, manifold and wastegate
- Tested return line to make sure oil is draining
- Connected the oil feed
- Installed and sealed all the oil fittings.
- Flushed the old oil
- Mocked up the intercooler piping
- Mounted the HKS SSQV
- Raised the intercooler a little ( we may have to raise it even more)
- clocked the turbo (TWICE!!)
Tomorrow we're going to finish cutting and securing the pipes. Charge up my yellow top while we're doing that and see all this work pays off...
PICS!!
We "borrowed" noels rear lip to see how it would look once mounted up.. It's a vertex knock off but the fitment is on point.

yea, i'll bring it to the gcp one day see how a 1jz 5speed holds up against an auto na-t like yurs. haha.
dude, whered u get the intercooler and piping? how much was it? i'll need that for my swap.
im impressed with how fast you are turning that car into something special. i've been lazy on my SC. focusing too much on gathering parts, and not installing them, haha.
