93 Soarer build update pt3
#1
A few more mods just completed.
Black suede Recaro's, Momo Tuner wheel and clear indicators/corners.
The clears are the Vertex ones, quite pricey but the quality is excellent. They come with everything you need and fit perfectly. They make my headlights look a little dull though :-(
The Momo Tuner is the 350mm version with a black centre. I currently have the wrong boss which doesn't have provision for the clock spring connector so I have no horn at the moment. Wheel feels great and is marginally smaller than the stock wheel which is about 380mm.
The Recaro's I picked up second hand for a great price, I bought a set of dual lock rails and a set of Supra seat mounts and bolted it all together. I think I might have to raise the seats a little as they are very low and I am not the tallest person. The seats fit beautifully and provide a lot of support. Both seats weigh less than one stock seat!
Matt.
Recaro seats.
Another Recaro pic.

This is the next mod, M90 supercharger setup.
I have the charger and I am in the process of sorting a manifold and all the other bits and pieces to get it up and running.
Will be adding a boost gauge and an AFR gauge as well, still not sure exactly what to do with the gauges in terms of mounting etc.

The SC400 was never sold here in NZ so it's only Soarers that you see.
I purposely chose a UZZ30 over a 31 as I was looking to replace the seats, suspension and a number of other bits that the 31 had that was better than the 30 but would get pulled anyway so I saved some money on the initial purchase.
Trying to find good suspension or seats is difficult when the cars are 14 odd years old.
Thanks for the replies - can't wait to make some progress on the charger!
