That's a very good choice. A supercharged LS400 is a really sleepper anyday. You'll be in the high powered sedan class. At least 7 psi and safely 8 psi with stock fuel system with a must of a 12:1 FMU and a Walbro 255 lpg hp-hf fuel pump. Don't go over 8 psi unless you have a better fuel enrichment system. You'll gain about 16 rwhp per psi and there's no need for tuning with this setup. Even at around 6 psi, I left several other 300+ hp new Lex in the dust...

0-60 in 5.8 seconds vs 6.3 seconds. Doesn't add up to me.

By the time you get to felony speeds, maybe. At the 1/4 mile the Camry is still 1/2 second ahead of a brand new 1998 LS (14.3 vs 14.8)
I guess the LS will pull ahead once the Camry hits its top speed limiter of 145mph, the LS will slowly crawl up to a maximum of 149mph.

If you ask about a supercharged LS400, then there's no V6 Camry can hang with it, even at start and all throughout the red line. But if you ask about a stock LS400 vs a new V6 Camry, then perhaps the Camry can have the advance of the first few car lengths at start. Then the LS can keep up. The V8 is heavier but it has more torques and its power is from mid to high end. With a built high stall rate torque converter, a stock LS may win the Camry even from start. That torque converter will make the LS spin the tires right at the beginning. It eliminates the sluggish tranny of the LS and put the power to the wheels quicker at low end.
