Project: 97 6-speed, SC400 supercharged 4.7L V8

Hey Scott I've been following some of your progress here and just want to say firstly that your car is top notch. Your car exemplifies everything this car could have been in today's market. More power, a refined interior and more agressive styling. I think the SC is a great platform but the power delivery and noise that a 2JZ with a big single wouldn't appeal to someone walking into a showroom to buy a $100k GT car. I wanted to create something that rivaled the specs and finish of 599 or M6 or something of the like. Your car achieves that.
Anywho, I wondered about how much dough you've dropped into the project only from the stand point of drivetrain. My own interior and exterior aspirations vary from yours slightly.

[QUOTE=ScottURnot;5562516]Seen your swap, Still trying to figure out the 1.3 part.
Thats what im calling it, cause it's 1uz (vvti) heads on a 3uz block. Kinda like the 2jz guys putting a 1j head on a 2j block they call it a 1.5jz. Lextreme guys call the 2uz swap w/1uz heads a 1.5uzfe.

I've just read through 50+ pages of your build thread(s)...I couldn't turn away from the screen....lol In the SC world you truly are 0.0000000001 percent-er. Fantastic build, it's awesome seeing an engineers approach to each minuscule detail...My personal let down at coming to this part of thread and not seeing it finished can't possibly compare to the anxiety you must be dealing with....I'm sure your efforts will pay off in spades! Any updates for us????!!!!

Thanks for all the kind words! The truth is I have been building a new bedroom for my boy in our unfinished basement. The room is nearly done so I will return to the car soon! Hind sight says I should have just paid someone to build the room but it drives me crazy watching someone else do the work, LOL they just never quite do it like I want it done, besides, since i can do it I might as well. Maybe I should post up some room progress pics. LOL

Sorry guys for the lack of updates but the truth is I have been busy as heck. Between family and work the car has really been neglected. I have been really busy building my boy a new bedroom in the basement. Please keep in mind this started as a completly unfinished Concrete basement. I did all the heat and air vents, electrical work floor work, walls, ect. It wa quite a undertaking.
Couple highlights are:
A 2 part Epoxy coat floor with a heavy broadcast of flake followed up by a clear top coat.
Polished aluminum Tread plate trim, all custom made
Furniture is custom painted hammertone black.
Handy basement escape window.
Still a few pieces of tread plate to do, some closet shelving ans a celing fan. But for the most part we are moving him in.
Second big project was my boys Eagle scout project, It was a underwater Otter perisope for the local zoo. Turned into quite a undertaking.
Here are some pics to enjoy. Now finally I get to return to the car!
