So I got some of the OEM wind visors a while back and am not sure if I want to install them or not... what do you guys think? I've looked at pics of other GS's with them and I'm not sure I really like them all that much. Same deal with the DSR eyelids... I've got.

No eyelids please..

put the visors on and decide then. If not, take them off and give them to me so I can do the same thing. I'm not sure I like them either.

Maybe that's cuz we're from the bay and people with visors on their cars are all ghettofied teal green maximas with chrome body trim and fender lining, autozone mufflers, and racing stripes.

I feel you.

Is this street legal?
Is there room for turbo?
Anyone plan to go this route with an ls7?
Anyone doing auto tranny?

http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results...ges=1&pkgid=22
It would bring new life to a beat up gs300.

turbo? seriously? WHAT FOR?

If it is legal, turbocharging would negate that.

and auto? Shoot yourself for asking.

Whats wrong with turboing an LSx?

and when it comes down to it, maybe he prefers auto over manual, and what wrong with that?

Hey, go make TTE replica lips! lol

and I said its wrong to turbo if he's concerned with it being street legal. And you won't need more power. Unless you're building a "10 second drag car, y0!"

and why build a performance car if you're going to use an auto trans?

Performance and automatic are opposites.

powerful car + automatic transmission = mid life crisis.

And don't give me that auto is "luxury".. its american laziness. Everywhere else in the world most cars are manual.

LEARN HOW TO DRIVE haha

k, no more thread jacking.

PM me if you want to keep arguing. XOXO

Yes this is a swap that can be bar'd in CA no problem. I am going to get this done in a few months.

There is a lot of room for a turbo... though I will likely go the KB supercharger route.

I don't know of anyone going LS7... but you could be the first!

Auto tranny definitely is something that DGR is looking at and shouldn't be a problem.

Just give Dan a call if you have more questions... he's doing a Clublexus special on the kits right now (not sure how many are left) but he'll hook you up if you let him know you're a member.

As long as the installed engine is of later manufacture than the car, it can be taken to the BAR (In California). The inspect it to make sure all emissions, O2s, etc are installed, then give the car it's own bar code (a sticker near the Vin in the door jamb). Then the your friendly local smog tech scans the bar code, and you GS shows up in the DMV and smog records as a LSGS. I have an interesting story about the whole system, but that's for another time.

Turbo is an option, there is room, but it would be an entirely custom affair.

Somebody please do an LS7!

Yes, I have the measurements for the 4l60e transmission, and can make transmission brackets for auto applications as soon as an order comes in for one.
