Well, I fell in love. At least I have a good idea what to do now when I find one that's almost dead

I read through the thread, are you still using the stock differential or did you swap it out? I know a driveshaft was made, but I didn't see if you mentioned that it used the OE style rear flange or not

I swapped it out origninally for the Supra TT rear end but put the stock back in with a KAZZ LSD. The DS uses the OE style rear flange with a DGR adapter.

I beg to differ, there's a group of LSX swapped trucks out here that are auto and run 10's...I've got a 450whp LS turbo'd silverado that will prove your statement wrong as well...

my buddys baja1000 truck just recieved a ls1 swap with high duration cams, he hasn't tuned it yet but is expecting bigg numbers. oh by the way it is in a toyota tacoma prerunner. he said he knows a place to get them for only $600.
*edit* i just reread this post and it was about auto trans, i just read the truck part i guess. yea his is a stick. sorry for my poor reading skills. haha

they are pretty cool cars, long story but i'm russian and i'm in process of finding and then importing a lada, very simular 4cyl, RWD small car, about 2400 wet. It will be my Sr20 project

Manuals are great an all for street and some fun, but they get old if your DD, IMO. If you guys aren't into drag racing, automatics are in most cars. Even look at the Supra guys, the T56 is AWESOME, no questions asked, but even those guys would kill for the TH400.

t56 is weak been threre done that 600+rwhp you gotta go 4l80e or th400

nothing about what you have said proves me wrong. I said turbo charging the lsx would not make it street legal. I said there is no point in turbo charging the lsx unless you are building a drag car.. (which you are).

and I said unless you are just building a drag car, then an auto trans is weak sauce. (which it is because you just mash the pedal after launch)

its street legal here in TX to have a turbo as long as you retain the cats...they don't care...But I have to remember, I don't live in CA anymore

Just running some Hooker shorty's right now until the car gets BAR'd (no idea when that is because I'm so busy lately). That was just a baseline nothing special 317rwhp/331tq.

sweet. are you going to use HPtuners for the tuning? What's next in store for the motor? Cam? Longtubes? The LS has so much potential...I've seriously considered doing this in my car. If I blow up the motor, this is where I'm headed for sure.
