Well, I fell in love. At least I have a good idea what to do now when I find one that's almost dead
I read through the thread, are you still using the stock differential or did you swap it out? I know a driveshaft was made, but I didn't see if you mentioned that it used the OE style rear flange or not

and why build a performance car if you're going to use an auto trans?

they are pretty cool cars, long story but i'm russian and i'm in process of finding and then importing a lada, very simular 4cyl, RWD small car, about 2400 wet. It will be my Sr20 project

Manuals are great an all for street and some fun, but they get old if your DD, IMO. If you guys aren't into drag racing, automatics are in most cars. Even look at the Supra guys, the T56 is AWESOME, no questions asked, but even those guys would kill for the TH400.

and I said unless you are just building a drag car, then an auto trans is weak sauce. (which it is because you just mash the pedal after launch)
