Haha... I assume she did want to sell it to me since she gave me such a great deal! As for the DIY... I'm not sure about the curtain airbags? I just removed the dash today and will be gutting it out (removing the airbag unit etc)... I did remove the A-pillars too but nothing was there. Perhaps these are under the headliner which I will get to in the next couple of days. I'm keeping the sunroof though.

Today's update... like I mentioned back to DGR to take out the rest of the interior but had some hiccups cuz of all the damn screws under the dash holding the harness. If you do remove the dash ever wear gloves unless you want busted up hands after!!!

Now when you get to this step good luck... I suppose I could've cut the tabs/tape/ties securing the harness but I didn't want to for some reason?!?!

These were the only tools I used...

Dash all out...

I wish I had more time to work on the car only a few hours here and there after work so it's taking me a bit longer than I'd like.

If anyone needs a complete airbag system lmk... just PM or email me.

So that's what it looks like underneath. FYI, 98-00 GS do not have side curtain airbags. They were added in 01.

Even better... I hate taking out the airbag junk.

Brian, just disco' the battery before you do any of the airbag work shouldn't have any problems.

Yah sure np... lmk how you want to handle this. Should be like Christmas in June I'm hoping maybe even early May and I won't need them at all but for shoes to use while in paint

****! i know to unplug the airbag i was just wondering how to remove them. did you have to remove the a-pillars before you remove the headliner? i really dont wish to remove the a-pillars i just wanna pull the headliner! what color is your interior jay....and what you doing with it?

I'm parting out some of it... check the classifieds I have a thread there. I would suggest removing the a-pillars. It's not that hard just 2 popouts and it's off (use a panel popper so you don't mess stuff up). I don't think you can just yank the headliner out if you look at it you'll have to remove the oh **** handles, sunroof controls, sun visors etc... if I can get more time to get the headliner out today I'll take pics for you. Just have so much other stuff to take off the car and ship that I sold
