jeff, That purple was treated with painted that with stands 1000 degrees.. That was just a first coat.. I hope the painted stays on lol... I'm actually going with a manuel tarns now.. i got a really good deal on one.. Thanks Guys!!

Yes sir you answered my question, granted after posting the question I decided to look at your profile..I'm going to take the dumbass of the day on that one, however this thing looks sweet man waiting to see it all come together...PS: keep the receipts I still want to know how much this thing cost from start to finish.

SirBev, your funny!!! I'm about 6,500 that would have been pretty much my final cost but I have decide to go manuel.. So I just picked up my tranny for really good deal and need to buy some odds and ends..

i have a ? i have ALWAYS wondered every time i see a supra or the gs with the i-6 in it....why do they make the neck come out and go across the radiator fans to the right? wouldnt it be better to come our and go straight out and just connect on the left side?

Sakataj, I believe the reason is for Toyota wanting to share the same radiator for the same car. My understandng was that Toyota sold more of the non turbo 2JZ-GE vs the GTE. Thus, they could cut costs by using a short radiator hose for the GE motor, and for the few numbers of GTE they just used a long cross over hose. This way they could both share the same radiators instead of having to produce 2 separate radiator for the same car. They could probably save a few dollars per car. The numbers might seem slight, but when you add up how many cars they manufactured....it adds up to quite a bit.
I'm planning to build a custom radiator with the water neck on the other side(GTE side) and An-20 fittings/stainless hoses for the radiator hoses instead of the ugly rubber stock ones.

yo njs if i lived on the west-cost id deff come steel that engine from ya real good taste chrome and purple looks great cant wait for the finished product pic pic picss
