Nate it really weird that the driveshaft is too long i still can't believe it ...but like i told you over the phone the Manual transmission Soarer uses the same diameter ds just like the SC driveshaft.

The mk3 R154 front half it bigger (ticker) than the Sc driveshaft.

The MK3 front half and Soarer R154 front half shouldn't and will not fit in the W58 same goes to the W58 driveshaft will not fit the R154s.

the teeth on the spline do not match R154 has more teeth on the spline iirc the W58 spline has 21 and the R154 has 23 or 24 i don't remember exactly but i will find out when i got to my friend shop.

I was able to use a sc300 w58 front shaft in my soarer r154. It was just too short. then I got a supra mk3 front shaft that was a smidge longer. That fit better. But if you can get a custom 1 piece. Just do it.

Thanks bro, well its a great car and is pretty quick but I've come to the point that the 1JZ just cannot hang with a 2JZ...torque wise... so either I will be buying a 2JZ block soon n building it to go 1.5JZ or I will sell my 1JZ & go 2JZ...

Don't get me wrong the 1JZ is a badass motor & can handle its own..
I've beeten pleanty of V8 cars (5.7 hemi on spray, LSX on spray etc) Turbo cars (RB25 S14 w/ Aem 6262 etc, Ka-t S13 w/ Gt35R Etc...

But when it comes to a singled 2JZ.. Its torque jus beats my Alil 2.5L down..
Oh We'll I'm much rather loose to another JZ then anything else

Is there that big of a difference in torque between the two engines? I've never seen a 2JZ race a 1JZ before.

Yess, it makes a difference 1J's dont make great TQ #'s, Unless alot of boost with some sort of Race Fuel or E85...When it comes to a 1JZ & 2JZ on pump gas...the 2JZ always will have better TQ #'s then a 1JZ, do to the Displacement.

The Mk4 I raced lastnight had these mods....
- Precision 76mm DBB
- 1200cc Inj
- AEM V1
- BC 264 cams.... ETC, ON 93 Octane he made about 517whp on a mustang dyno * crappy tune*

I mean, yes Im on stock Ecu,wit piggyback, stock cams,550cc inj, Borg Warner S360 but my car made 483whp n still had plenty of fuel to break the 500whp mark..

From a dig we were even until he 3rd gear then the displacement kicked in and it pulled me like a frieght train...

1JZ < 2JZ!!

Come on son you comparing a 76mm to a 60mm with a 30hp difference off course you was going to be even till 3rd which is the pull gear you really expected to win that race?...
