Lol...cuz I had em in my closet. I have had them on every sc I have owned. but my current one has filed holes in the lens. so I grabbed another set, and they happened to not have any busted tabs. maybe my next set I'll try another type. Oh.and they use a d2s bulb type!

Cleaned engine bay a lil more, and put on polished intake manifold and valve covers. I need to get the throttle body polished. The one I have is a traction control model. My current one doesnt have trac!

Ok So I finally had time to put my headlights together. People ask me how or why you do a retrofit instead if just using HID bulbs. Well For one they look like crap, two you blind people and 3 well it looks sweet when you have a perfect cut off line.
So I opened up my lights and began the process. For those of you wanting to do this i have included a few general pics of the process.
OLT did a great job a while back...here is a link to his write up https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...nishing-2.html
Basically i heat mine up in the oven at 350 degrees, only a few min at a time. You muscle them off and you get the lens and chrome inner housing and the main black housing with projector (PIC 1). Then you use the two 8mm bolt heads to remove the projector (PIC 2). This will leave you with an empty housing (PIC 3). Next is time for your new HID projector (PIC 4 and 5). Notice my audi tt projectors have a metal plate...yeah this allows you to use a diff projector in the OEM mounting points. Either buy some pre made of take apart your OEM projector and use the "base" to create a template out of aluminum. Once your set there do everything in reverse! Now i had alot of the OEM selant in the channel so i just baked em, re isntalled the clips and used contact cement to replace the rubber mouldings around the lens. Once thats all dry, use 100% black silicon (PIC 6) and run a bead along the joining points and run it flat with your figers. (see PICS 7 and 8). Let it sit for about an hour before reinstalling and in 24 hours its at 100%

Whoa, forgot about this thread. I should probably update this. Car is going for paint next month, r154 is finally going in and the single turbo as well. Currently redoing the sound system. I was re-motivated after a few FB sc's coming along and project galactus gaining steam!

So...I finished school. Graduated which means...I have time to finish ny car. It's been sitting a while. I have an air leak I need to find. Working on building a custom trunk setup for the air and still be able to hold a spare and some luggage. Anyway...car is in the body shop. Body work is done, it will be sprayed with a black base primer and then 6qts of house of kolor KBC-11 candy apple red. The only thing not being painted is the engine bay. Here are a couple update pics.
