SC570--The OFFICIAL build thread

And moving forward:
Ordering the LS6 front steam tube and Escalade rear steam tube this evening or tomorrow. Need to clearance the waterpump to clear the intake opening, and fabricate new fuel rail brackets. Once these are taken care of and installed the intake can be seated properly and get prepped for porting, and cylinder head port matching if needed.
Wanted to get a step by step dyno run of each mod to see individual gains, but in this case I will see gains from the cam and intake, and later on the heads and block.

Thanks, if it wasnt such a headache at times it would be enjoyable
All the final parts for the intake have been ordered. Should be a week or so and I can fire it back up. Need to make the fuel rail brackets today.
Really wondering what kind of numbers its going to put down now with the cam and intake. I have seen stock LS1/6 cars with the same cam making power in the 390-430rwhp/380-395rwtq range, and some reports of the Fast intakes unported giving a 25-45rwhp/10-25rwtq increase through out the power band depending on the heads.
With my stock base line run when the car had a smaller single exhaust and stock injectors, it made 307rwhp/315rwtq. Now with the cam, intake, larger true dual exhaust with the x-pipe, larger injectors and a real dyno tune, Im really hoping to see atleast 415rwhp with the stock heads and stock compression. Doesnt sound like much, but this will give me a better idea what to expect with the new heads and block when the times comes.

Got the last of the parts in today, finished it all up and what a difference. Does need to get to the dyno asap as its stalling when coming to a stop, and running a bit rich on the top end. But so much stuff going on since this weekend, its going to sit in the garage for a while (again) and collect dust. Only downside with the intake, is my STB no longer fits, but oh well.
Still no updated daytime videos yet, the car irritates my neighbor. After starting it today and it idling for about 10 min, he left his house.

This is a great build. I love the fact that you are doig something out of the norm.
Has the car been to the track lately? What kind of times has she ran?
I'm sure you have posted it already, Sorry I didn't read through all 30+ pages
;-)
lol

I have not made it to the track or dyno since the cam swap, so no numbers yet. Previous numbers when the engine was completely stock it made 307rwhp/314ft/lbs, and ran a 12.9@107 with a 1.8 60ft if I recall correctly.
The first track day following the dyno tune I will have more numbers. Hopefully will have the new diff and gears in by then along with a taller tire, but as of now, Ill just be happy if the stock diff holds together

I actually looked at the louvers for the jeeps, but the price on them is outrageous lol. I think I may weld up what I started, and toss on the URAS hood vent.
But after leaving your house the other day, I cruised back at 75 with a few WOT pulls for fun and the car never went over 175* vs the 190* it was hitting before. Just have to decide what route to go and figure the bodywork portion out.
