My first SC300 build

My first SC300 build
Ive had this car for about a year now after finding it in the local classifieds for 2500 bucks. I thought it was a scam cause he didnt have a phone number so i emailed him and sure enough he emailed me back. the same day a went and picked it up. The car was pretty rough cosmetic wise, but i definitely saw the potential.
when i got the car it had the complete running 1jz auto setup, front mount intercooler, dual gauge pod with temp and boost and full 3" magniflow exhaust walbro 255. Since then ive installed the Shine AC kit, full paint and body work close to 200 hours or so by me, vogtland lowering springs, 20 mrr gt1, tint, Zietronics wideband custom mounted in the dash. recently installed a 60 trim masterpower turbo with a .68 A/R with driftmotions mani and waste gate etc... Hks Dli.
Awaiting installation: fresh 1jz mated to an r-154 stock clutch =( no funds for a clutch right now. Driftmotion fuel dampener bypass, FPR with gauge, high flow top feed fuel rail with domestic 550cc injectors, installed a new water pump, new timing belt and seals, Driftmotion lightweight pulley kit (drops 9 lbs of rotating weight) awaiting a precision 67mm with .58 A/R to be installed, i plan on dropping the engine in saturday, super stooked. im still short a driveline and a good tune on the super afc. My power goals are limited to the clutch right now, but with a solid clutch im hoping for 450-550 rwhp.
future mods in priority are lsd (thinking about welding my diff, can anyone chime in if this is a bad idea?) aem ems, 780cc injectors, methanol injection, i may get away with the 550cc a little longer if i do methanol. then start lightining it up a bit with some seats, aluminum driveshaft and flywheel.
Nothing to crazy, i just wanted to post up and share the love i have for these beautiful cars. I live out in utah and i know of one other turbo sc3 in the whole state. i wouldnt have even known what an sc looked like if it wasnt for a friend of mine owning one like 6-8 years ago, anyway you dont see many of them in Utah so i take great pride in my car. i hope it represents well.

Damn dude, I like the way you think. 4runner with a 1j is awesome and your motor project is alot like what I've got going on right now. Keep it up man, car looks good and I like where it's going!

Looks Good. And dont be to scared of the welded diff but it will for sure be slickary when you hit corners in the rain or around any corner for that matter. Kaaz 2 way is probably your best bet for what it sounds like you want. You need to make the trip to colorado so we can see this thing in action.

Ya i was into the 4 runner project until this came along, the guy didnt have a phone cause he had so many creditors after him, like i said tho it was pretty rough when i got it. Then i was being an idiot, something we all have to do once. Tried to drift around a corner with some bald tires on 18s, in the rain and spun out totaled a parked altima. I taught myself a lesson by putting a new quarter panel in.

Its a **** ton of work to polish all that ****, once you start polishing you cant just leave parts that are polishable, not polished.

I havent had many opportunities to get good pics, it seems like all the ones i have taken are from the same view =) You can see in the pic that the bumper is already cracked, ya i broke it the 3rd day of having it on and 3 spots total after a month or 2. Im thinking about drawing a template of the bottom of the bumper and cutting out a real thin piece of aluminum and rivoting it to it then put like four braces total down to the sides and front. Has anyone tried this? i figure it might do more damage when you do hit *****, in Utah its inevitable to.
