So today I decided to swap from my 99 Spoiler to the 92-96 style spoiler and change my trunk shocks.... I ended up snapping a bolt on one side and not being able to put on the truck shocks because I am either to weak or just really stupid....
Do you need to modify the third brake light harness in any way to make the earlier style middle brake light function?
No, if anything the connection from the actual light to the harness. My spoiler dosent have a light at the moment so I cant confirm. But I had one previously and it had a connection just like the newer style.
so switching from a 97+ trunk with new style spoiler to a 92-96 trunk with older spoiler is a plug and play ordeal? I always thought the harness for the brake lights needed modification. Thats good to know.

Yup other than the actual holes for the spoiler itself it should be that easy
Thanks Ryan the seats are still on the do to list but I am trying to finish my suspension mods first. SInce the car is high mileage I have a very slugish ride. Trying to get some BC coils and Battle Version arms to help remidy that. Maybe next month I can start on the seat swap, the seats arent that expensive I think about 300-400 per seat. I will try to source and passenger side one first and start there. I dont think anyone has done it before so it should be a first.
Kevin, I don't think anyone has done it yet. Finding the seats in mint condition and the color one wants can be challenging. Keep us posted as to your progress. BTW, I found and recently purchased a set of clean black 430 seats, so I will soon know what it takes to fit them and get them electronically functioning properly in a SC400.

I will also see how they look in the car...
Nice Tanabe's, BTW...
