U mean a new 5.0? And did u use the wiring or just the o2 unit itself?

Is the thread pattern the same like the lexus models?

And what's the added benefit?

Also when are you going to dyno this? And are there even any shops up there with a dyno?

TN -> ME is $850 bucks to ship it here, there goes all your "savings".

rust isn't exactly a "looks" thing, but okay.

89 5.0 3-wire o2 sensor. 18 x 1.5mm thread pitch.

Added benefit is that it's only $35 bucks.

1-0-1v signal
2-12v-
3-12v+

That's it for the wiring.

There is a Dyno shop, but they suck.

I don't care about a Dyno number, the car makes me smile, that's all I care about.

300rwhp I'd guess. Pretty good guess since I have run quite a few cars on dynos back when I was at F1Dyno.

Cartmill- Not at all. Sheet metal rust is looks, and your reply is two weeks old. W/E!

Thats good to know about the 02 sensor. Anything with Lexus on it is triple the price.

Two wires will be the same color, that't the heater circuit. Doesn;t matter how you hook them up, one is 12v+, the other is ground.

Then the different color remaining wire is your 0-1v signal to the ecu.

I have no idea, this is a 1jz. It has three wires for the 02.

spoolxexo, do you have a voltage map of that must-dang o2 sensor? i have a hard time believing it has the same curve as the toyota one.

It doesn't matter, every EFI sensor ever either runs on 0-1v or 0-5v, with the exception of 5-0v (Thanks a lot Honda..)

The MAP sensor however has a different curve then typical GM or the like, that's where your "Curve" differentiates.

It's a measure employed by Toyota to keep their Parts division thriving by charging astronomical price's on their turbo parts due to proprietary design.

It didn't last as Toyota stopped making turbos and contracted Garrett like everyone else.

Short Version: The Mustang O2 works great, is inexpensive, has the standard 0-1V scale, and screws right into single turbo downpipes with it's 18x1.5mm thread.

I have seen 7M guys run the "Mustang" O2s as well. Whether it will work or not, I had so many issue with Bosch sensors in my old Fords. I hate them. I bought a genuine Denso on sale through Amazon for around $24 shipped and it works perfect.

They are still available on Amazon for $34 shipped.

Denso 234-3050
