I will post pictures as the project gets more advanced.
Got the car 2 years ago with a GE motor barely running and an na turbo kit. Car was originaly sold to a friend of mine and after taking the interior out of the car and starting to break some parts he gave up on the project and I bought the car back for the second time with a blown motor. Since scrapped all the cheap parts and the motor and decided hey why not build a nother one. After carefull planning decided to strip the whole car down and getting it painted RSP Supra color. The car was in pretty bad shape when we got it but will be nice when done. You will see the transormation from 2 years ago.
First step was hetting the car from CT, I went to pick the car up and it was in a lot worse ahape the it was descriped in the craigslist add... Surprize? Naah. Made the trip in a pouring rain with a trailer so I wanted to salvage the trip and did not want to go back emptry handed. It did however come with a NA Turbo kit and Cheap online turbo awith some other parts like the wrong water pump etc. Made the deal bought the car. Loaded the parts and the car on the trailor "in the pouring rain" and brought it back to NH.
Doors needed so much body work and the fenders were in such a bad shape we ended up buying new doors and new fenders to get the project going. Here are the pictures of the car when I bought it. Front bumper was from a nother car we had, which we still have and will not be using on any of the SC projects.
Above are all the pictures before the project started. I will fast forward from 2 years ago to this week Car was sitting at the body shop for 2 years and maybe got worked on once in every 6 months. finaly put some pressure on th ebody guy and got tit done. Never pay for a job ahead of time. We ended up doing a $3500 stereo in the body guys truck in exchange for the paint and body work, we thought we were getting a deal... Mybe but it was a long 2 year wait. Was it worth it... Yes I think so some things are worth the wait. Notice the engine bay is empty and not painted yet, Going back to get the engine bay done this week as soon as we strip the rest of it.
Here are some pics at the body shop and after.
Next step is to get the engine stripped and getting the engine bay painted. I will keep you all posted.
