That's too long, ill be dead by then.

And if u ordered a v2 directly from aem, would they have to make it or have it in stock already?

AEM doesn't sell a 1jz plug-n-play box.

so DM sells a Honda plug-n-play aemv2 that they sell with a jumper harness to plug into a 1jz, and they give you a calibration file for it as well (from what i understand).

also, did anyone else notice that suprastore sells what seems to be the exact same honda box 1jz/jumper AEMv2 for $1900 while it's like $1200 at DM?

Actually I checked their website for many items on my build, and they are quite crazy on some of their pricing.. Way too much... Quick, check your PM.... Yes, I have another question. Do I need a boost controller? I currently have a 18 pound spring installed in the wastegate, is this too big for the first initial start up? Secondly, on oiling the turbo before start up, can I just unplug the steel line size 4 from the block and squirt oil from a bottle that way? How much? if this is the correct way? Bare with me, this is my first turbo build folks.

I just spoke with my welder, and I think I might be going to use a four inch DP. He has my 3 inch and his 4 inch to go by. If we can get to work thats the route I have chosen to go with. Another reason, is for the stock hole for the 02 sensor is cut out on mine. I bought this AEM wideband and no longer need this, so I think I have my mind set on this 4 inch DP.. Plus I think it will look sick in the engine bay!!!!

I would personally run a weaker wastegate spring. Maybe 12psi or 15 psi. You can always turn it up if you start low. I'd prefer to not be kept at 18psi+. Also, if you need to turn the boost up, I thought you were going to get the aem boost control solenoid. Right? No need for an extra controller when you have an aem

Just crank the car over with the EFI fuse removed to build up oil pressure.

There is no "break in" on boost, the rings and bearing surfaces break in so boost is relative.

With that said, 18psi on that setup might be a little much to get used to right off the bat!

Just ordered the large red spring off of Ebay. Here is the chart for the Tial wastegates. Choose accordingly.

Well on my SC with 2jz i was AEM EMS, I did the 12v mod and my engine keep hydrolocking . As soon as you turn the key fuel pump comes on and fill up the cylinder with fuel , at first i thought it was my starter .
I replaced the starter and it still did it, long story short it cost me a block.
On the second engine it did the same , and it never did that on my SC300 .i drove the car to work on a saturday to fix my power steering leak i then decided to figure this thing out
I undid the 12V mod and my car started right up, with the 12v mod after a couple cranks it will lock up, but this time it didn't do it.
I think it has something to do with me being on AEM. i didn't try to find out why the 12v mod was causing that while i was on AEM at that point i just wanted my car to run great and not cost me another engine.

You don't need that 12V when you are on AEM EMS any , because the AEM ECU does it for YOU
