Never wrap a thin walled stainless manifold.

They insulate the heat and welds can actually turn into molten metal, and break.

Leave it, or ceramic coat it for the most reliability.

Thanks man. Polising this intake is kicking my butt. Sorry but no pictures today. I have cleared coated the manifold with vht clear and bake it in the oven. We will see how long it holds up for me.

A little more progress the past few days. I sprayed the fuel injector rail with bolts to satin black. Installed the 800cc injectors. I ordered the lightened flywheel, exhaust studs, and the bellhousing today from Driftmotion. I am still waiting on the cams from Brian Crower. Will post pictures up in a few days.

I still need the rear section of a auto or manual SC300 tranny, to complete my driveshaft.

I bought the correct size of steel braided lines and fittings today. I am using a size 4 on the feed and a 10 on the return. My shifter come in today. Now need to take it to the aluminum shop and have it extended two inches to make fit right. I mounted the oil return flange on the motor. I polished the intake side of the motor. I am near the point of getting tired of polishing and sanding. I hope it stays that way for awhile. Enjoy the pictures.

Before...

After.... Mo Better...

Before....

After...with new injectors installed..

My ignitor also came in the mail last week. What shifter is everyone using on theirs? TRD? Is the extension on the shifter only 2 inches for the perfect fit inside the cabin?

More pictures. Enjoy!

Thanks man. i apporeciate the comments. Just alot of hand sanding with 220 to remove the deep blackened parts, then 600 grit wet, then 1000 grit. All by hand. Then for the harder aluminum pieces, I used the wire brush on the drill for the deep grit. Then used the mothers powerball on the drill. I did that about 6-10 times. The pictures are a little dull looking after m y uploading them. They are more shinier than it is showing.

I havent had too many comments, but the ones I have, they are good. I hope the end results are more amzing than I am expecting. Here is what the same setup with cams, and turbo makes... Enjoy!

Looking good Mark! You are way more patient than I would be.

EDIT: Just watched the video. I'm ready to see this thing in action!

Some parts come in today.. My bellhousing, exhaust studs, and flywheel. Compliments of Driftmotion..Sweet.. I also went ahead and mounted them.. Enjoy the pictures...More to come...

Cleaned up the inside tranny portion a bit ...

Mounted the studs, had to this way for a couple.. Being aggravating to work with..

All installed, ready for my new gasket.. thanks to another member on here..

I did this all eight of the bolts, and torquesd the crap out of them. I left the chain on the flywheel to keep it from moving. I also installed the metal spacer thing on the backside of the flywheel. I hope that is where it goes. Grade 8 bolts, thanks to Fastenal.

Mounted, anyone comfirm thats where the metal spacer thing goes? It didnt fit right on the this side of the bolts.

Found this today when I removed the tape from the R154 I bought. Crap.. I hope I can fond one cheap.

More following.... Stay tuned..

About the 800cc injectors, the guy I bought them from special ordered them out of Japan. Completely plug in play. I will try to find out more for you. I think he mentioned the name of them on page 7-8 in this thread.

question do you still have the output shaft from your original tranny?
I hope you find the part you need or a cheap replacement gearbox. good luck on your build and so far I am impressed.
