Talking My sound system Build.

Ok guys. So i blew my stock speakers. i was contemplating an upgrade for a while anyway so what better time to do it!

I started by buying Boston Acoustics CX9^2 6x9 speaker pair and CX5 5" speaker pair:

my next buy will be a head unit. and i chose this Pioneer FH-P8000BT head unit simply because of the sleek look of it:

Im thinking of replacing the stock nakimichi sub with a Boston acoustics G110-44 dual 4-ohm coils:

and a good amp. havent decided yet.

I will be posting pics of the installs and maybe a video of the sound once im all done!

so tell me guys, what do you think?

Yep,..... pioneer has the avh-p2300dvd for $260 shipped. Double din touch screen. Nice unit. I had the 3300 in my Supra, and I loved it.

A touchscreen setup was considered. but I dont know, I really like the look of this unit. today i will be pulling off the old speakers from the doors and modifying the mounts.

So at this moment I'm fabricating custom mounts for the pair of 6x9's and so far they're looking really good I gotta say.

here is a photo of the process.

this is how the mount sits on the car.

Thanks! Its the engineer in me that always tries to find the most efficient way of doing things. I'm debating on either using the original speaker wires or actually rewiring the whole system with new wires. What do you guys think?

It's not hard to learn y'know, you just gotta have the will, it's even easier nowadays 'cause we all have access to the internet. I had no idea how to detail a car when I got my SC, but I ain't paying nobody $300 to get it done, so I watched vids and bought my own stuff. Not perfect, but I'm slowly learning and developing my "skills".
