Some things going on. I got a really good hook up on a Precision 6766 Turbo from 1A1 (Steve), thanks buddy. Also removed my charcoal canister and bought a vented catch can for the passenger side valve cover. My small K&N filter wasn't cutting it anymore and getting oil on engine bay. Ready to get everything else done but money is a little tight right now.

word of advice, when you turn the a/c on make sure its on re-circulate the stock a/c likes to set itself to pull in outside air and you pretty much get alot of those fumes sucked right into the car after startup.

No filter. My thing with that was your talking about a run from under the car to all the way back to fuel tank, what's that, 14 feet? I just didn't see how anything could make it back to the tank dust or otherwise.

Somehow depending on your fuel pumps (especially if you have dual or big pump) , a vacuum is created inside the fuel tank when flowing a lot of fuel in high HP... so IMHO dusts can be sucked in , so many of us put filter under the fender on that hose.

that a good point, I used to use a universal fuel filter from the auto store, cheap and helped keep down some fumes and keep the lines clean. kept it where the charcoal canister was next to/ under the new catch can.

probably but not sure, those are kinda bulky though. I used something slim that I could see through like this.

Thinking outside the box here but what about eliminating that whole run to the engine bay and just taking some hose off the banjo under the tank and running it back up into the rear fender area somewhere then throwing one of those little VC vent filter things on it? Would that not keep the fumes far enough way from the cabin so it doesn't smell? Also get rid of a bunch of unnecessary line under the car.

As Ali had said, a small enclosed cylindrical fuel filter for me is better since it helps keep the smell / vapors from within. A small air fuel filter we put on catch cans will do but you won't totally keep the smell out , though will filter air in.
Some will cut it all the way to the back as SCereal had mentioned, before a filter is plugged at the end.
