thanks guys yea the 350z wheels are my track set/winter beaters ... probably going to paint them white .. im looking for a little more power out of the 1uz though.. if i keep it ill be getting down with it this season and probably go with track seats partially gut it , some power addders , weld the diff possibly get something to get a better angle maybe modify knuckles... its a weekend / fun car so i barley drive it maybe twice a month lol
right now i working on getting the slave cylinder fixed and i think i was the guy who had it listed on c list i bounce back and forth between keeping it and selling it..
if i start adding more ill make this my build thread .. think im going to go order a soarer hub for my jdm wheel these stock wheels are ugly haha

new the original owner and the shop who did the r154 swap. Some quality parts (at the time) were used to get this V8 to mate with a 5spd. The car looks better since the PO, did neglect it due to lifes adjustments.
Keep it and run it hard. The V8's can be had for cheap. Throw some juice at it and see what it can do, while you blueprint a built V8..

thanks man will do.. just been researching the forums and other sites , contemplating turbo - sc - or itbs .. also do you think upgrading to the vvti 1uz from 92-96 1uz would be worth it? Also what basic 1uz upgrades would you recommend me starting with?
thanks again for the input

As for making power with 1UZ, they respond well to basic bolt-ons - BFI upgrade (Big ****ing intake), exhaust, headers, etc. Beyond that, you'll want to go standalone, and you'll want to invest in having the motor retuned if you haven't already - 1UZs run notoriously rich from the factory.
After that, to make serious power with the V8, you're looking at spending a pretty penny on a custom turbo/super charger/ITB set-up. Go to Lextreme. It's a website dedicated to the Toyota V8. There's a ton of Australians on their forums, as Australia adores the 1UZ, and has much more support and aftermarket options for it than we do in the states.

Swapping in the VVT-i 1UZ is a very complex, time consuming swap. The money and time you spend on that swap could be better spend on upgrading your current motor. Also, the VVT-i will throw a check engine light if you try to keep it manual. Overall, to me, not really worth it.
