to make a 2jzgte with a aristo auto trans to work in a sc, you can use the sc400 driveshaft, you will need the piece on the transmission thats bolts on to the driveshaft, it has a 30mm nut in the middle, thats hold it in the trans.so aristo 2jzgte auto in a sc, will work with the sc400 driveshaft, aristo have 3 bolts at the end of the trans, so you will have to get the flange of the sc400 auto trans , so you can slide it on the aristo auto trans , to slide the sc400 driveshaft on,.

Thanks buddy ! True , aristo auto tranny has 3 bolt flange and is perfect for the 3 bolt end of the SC400 driveshaft with that rubber donut (flex plate) provided that you have the 98-99 SC400 driveshaft. Why not the 92-97 model also? It is because the older SC400 has a smaller tribolt flange on both end of driveshaft and the newer model has the bigger tribolt flange which is same as that of the Aristo tranny tribolt flange and the one used on the Supra Auto TT diff.

It is just that I don't want to mess around anymore with the built Boost Logic (BL) auto tranny which has a 4 bolt flange. I will keep it as it is. So for me, the best will be, use the MKIV Auto TT front drive shaft and Back end part of the SC400 driveshaft which is longer than the MKIV auto TT driveshaft just because the SC400 has a longer wheelbase (105.9") than the Supra MKIV (100.4").

Well , the Auto tranny MKIV was my first supra. On the drag strip, an auto tranny will always have the edge... no mis-shifts.That is the reason these big guys in the field like Titan Motor Sports uses an auto tranny on their drag cars . But on the streets, a 6 speed is more fun, at least to me. I feel like I got more control on the car.

Every one has their own likings and reasons for having one or the other and we will always respect that.

yeap, if I had the aristo 340e tranny that came with the aristo 2jzgte swaps .. indeed it would have been a perfect fit.

will surely confirm in the future , what I said previously .. "front half of the Auto TT driveshaft mated to the back half of the newer SC400 driveshaft which has the bigger tri-bolt flange so it will mate with my supra tt auto diff".. though based on measurements I laid out on the previous posts , that seems to be right. The worst maybe, is I need to get them balanced if ever there will be vibrations in certain speeds since they were not original mates.

To answer questions / pms why not all SC400 driveshaft tri-bolt flange will fit an Aristo 340E auto tranny tri-bolt or Supra TT auto diff tri-bolt flange .. it is because there is a small and big tri-bolt flange.

The Aristo 340E Auto tranny and Supra TT Auto LSD Diff pumpkin tri-bolt flange are the big one as pictured :

And the 1992-1997 SC400 driveshaft came with the smaller tri-bolt flange on both the tranny and diff end as pictured

The SC400 driveshaft that came with the bigger tri-bolt flange are those from the VVTi models which are the 1998-1999 SC400

I am ready to take out that 1uzfe engine this weekend when I have more time . Meanwhile , the fun of gathering parts for the 2jzgte swap had begun. This will be a daily beater so no crazy high RWHP goals here. But will try to build it right so if I want to turn it up a notch, I don't keep on replacing parts. I just want a reliable cruiser that will support my ego every now and then on the streets and put aside my MBenz which is my daily driver now. I already have my weekend warrior on my built 6 speed Supra MKIV so I don't need to aim for a dyno queen here.

To start with , I will use a Toyota TRD 2nd gen catback exhaust with 3.5" piping. I will have a 3" RMM downpipe/midpipe that connects to the catback. Since we have a yearly emissions before renewing our tags, I will have on hand the stock supra 2jzgte downpipe/midpipe with catalytic converters which will be installed before emission testing and taken out after. I am going single exhaust and get that bumper exhaust cutout on the passenger side be covered.

I guess I need to clean / polish that exhaust canister and paint the 3.5" piping black this weekend ...
